The glaciers in South America is the topic of the next article that I selected this weak. The glaciers are important because it provide water for the live. My country is in the chain of Andes Mountains, where every year we can see less snow cause for the melting. That was the reason that drives to me select this article to share in class.
The Andes glaciers in South America are suffering a high rate of melting and is increased every year.
It is well know the climate change have been affected the glaciers from many years ago as well as the lack of water from the rain are every time shorter.
The scientist are concern about the glaciers locate in low altitude because it is melting more easily and in few years it could disappear. It means that the inhabitants in countries around the glaciers could be in troubles for their activities like in generation of hydropower, agriculture and the water for human consumption. As an example that is happen now in Bolivia, a highest ski run mountain that have been visited for tourist for years, is very close to disappear in the next years.
