Promised British Prime Minister David Cameron in Wednesday will be a vote on Britain's membership in the European Union if his party wins the next election, in 2015. Cameron said the British people should be around whether to choose to stay in the European Union on the basis of a negotiated settlement - or leave. Also,he  warned that leaving the EU would be "a one-way ticket" with no option to return. Former Belgian Prime Minister  warned against trying "hold the EU to ransom. Verhofstadt, who leads the Alliance of Liberals and Democrats for Europe in the European Parliament, said Cameron's speech was "filled with inconsistencies" and showed "a degree of ignorance about how the EU works. Obama spoke about the relationship remains strong with the EU whether Britain separated or stayed.
